Update: Resizable BAR support for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series
Manli has introduced a software for users looking to enable Resizable BAR for their graphics cards.
1. 1. Adjust motherboard BIOS parameters
Reboot the system, and enter the BIOS menu.
Locate the “BIOS CSM/UEFI Mode” option (Settings > Advanced). Select “UEFI” mode.
2. 2. Download vBIOS file for your graphics card and upgrade vBIOS
Download and open the .exe file to enter the vBIOS upgrade software.
Enter “y” in the upgrade software box and press “Enter” to start the upgrade.
During the upgrade process, there will be multiple black screens and flickers on the screen. This is completely normal.
If the upgrade is successful, “Update successful” will be displayed.
If upgrade was unsuccessful, please close the software, and check hardware compatibility and BIOS settings are correct.
3. 3. Check if upgrade is complete
After the upgrade is complete, open the NVIDIA Control Panel, click “System Information”, and look for “Resizable BAR”. It should say “Yes”.
What is Resizable BAR
Without going into too much detail, essentially the Resizable BAR improves the efficiency of the CPU, therefore improving performance under certain situations.
